Yesterday, over the course of about two hours, Nick sent me a grand total of 6 pictures of his feet. Actually, that’s not quite accurate- it was the same picture, 6 times. These are the things we do for Eurydice. (I say the things ‘we’ do, but really Nick deserves the award for going above and beyond for shaving his feet and giving them a pedicure in an attempt to make them look as feminine as possible. I’ll leave it up to you how far he succeeded in that…)
But there was plenty of method to our feet-related madness. It was of course for our show image, now proudly displayed on the left of the blog, on twitter, and soon in the official Fringe programme and on the website! Perhaps I’m ruining the magic by not letting the world continue under the delusion that these are the feet of Melissa Taylor, our actual Eurydice, but I fear that might be slightly insulting to her, and might in fact count as some sort of foot-libel (sorry Nick).
It wasn’t just our show image that the production team were busying ourselves with yesterday. After receiving a choice of four different performance spaces we have made our final decision, and contracts are currently being sorted. (And I do mean currently. Marina, our fantastic producer, is busily readying them for a very impending deadline, whereas I, in my official capacity as director…am blogging about feet. I’ve actually been working really hard on this play for months, honestly!) We’re very happy with our choice of venue and will update soon with official confirmation of just where you can come to see us this August!
